Poe and Kirby turn 9 and 2 this week!
Today at 9 years old 🙂
Today at 2!
I love you both so much, and wish I could show you guys just how much you done and mean to me xoxo – Leah
Also I got this question a few times now so thought I would explain why Poe is hardly in the blog. I started the blog at first because I wanted to share the excitement and document the first dog I ever bought/cared for all on my own, I honestly had no idea I would be continuing it for this long. I love both my boys equally, but as Poe being the family dog he goes with my mom. When I started I was unsure where I would be living in the near future so knowing I wouldn’t have Poe in my everyday life anymore I decided to try to not get him as much involved, for the sake of keeping my blog simple. Poe is only with me till the beginning of summer as of right now so that’s why I keep it mostly to Kirby… Anyways hope that explains it all for ya! 🙂
As of late there isn’t much new in the lives of Kirby. Although his brother from another mother..literally… Poe has a sprained foot when he tried tackling our new hardwood stairs for the umpteenth time. He having Jack Russell in him mind you, refuses to be still and relax, constantly trying to aggravate his injury to the best of his ability, so has sadly mostly been confined to his crate until further notice.
Poe showing his age, has also reminded me of Poe and Kirby’s birthday which are both at the end of this month. Poe will be turning 9! And Kirby 2! It’s hard to believe that the whole time I have had Kirby pretty much has been documented throughout this blog, if nothing else it is his personal scrapbook which you have all become audience too.
So I will leave you with some pictures of this weeks little munchkins, and like always I hope you guys have an amazing week!
poor little guy
and here are some videos I’ve been working on, in case anyone wants to see.
So my cousin as well as her little cuddle buddy you may remember him from my POST about a year ago when Christian was just a puppy.
Well has he ever grown, and him and Kirby went right back to where they left off. Playing, jumping and then more playing!
My family kept giving Christian the nickname big Kirby, as the resemblance besides their slight size difference was baffling 🙂 They were joined at the hip most of the weekend. And Christian definitely taught him a thing or too about just being all around pleasant as he has turned into a very kind dis-positioned dog. Kirby being the scardey-cat he can be definitely got some good teachings with happy go lucky Christian 🙂
There was some occasional humping that I have never seen before from Kirby! ( They are both fixed male dogs mind you- so no worry of BABYMAKING!) so we figured it was Kirby trying to somehow show Christian he was dominant to him, unfortunately it never really seemed to go Kirby’s way… as Kirby was clearly just a miniature playmate to Christian. EDIT- Though I should say although I do know all dogs hump, I’ve had enough to know by now lol I have yet to see Kirby hump another dog ever, until this moment, so something definitely was going on….. By the end of the visit Kirby was sniffing little christian when he was put into his carrier for the drive back. Then when he was gone little Kirby decided to jump up on my bed and what appeared to be a quiet sulk… that or he was extremely exhausted from all the play time he was constantly receiving with little Christian.
These were last minute shots I almost forgot to take before they left!
And in name of it being my 100th post I leave you with this picture in which the owner of Christian would simply love 🙂
So I got a new phone. I have had a “smart phone” before but going from a pay as you go Nokia something or other to this new HTC one, brings a whole new definition to the word “smart!”. I am still getting used to it, but the fact that I can say the word “panda” to it and it suddenly brings up pictures and articles coupled with an electronic voice telling me all about the habitat of it .
Anyways I also got into apps, and decided to download a app called retro camera. Where you can take pictures using a bunch of old style camera methods finishing your pictures off with cool and retro- effects.
So of course I took my little muse Kirby as the perfect subject matter to try out it out.
And here is a update on how kirby is settling in 🙂
